Secret Valley

Secret Valley is many things to many people, and full of surprises which unfold as you explore in your own time. For those preferring a gentle pace, the farm walks show off Mother Nature at her best, with several spectacular views of undulating farmland and tree plantations looking out across the open sea of the Bristol Channel to Wales. For the more adventurous, the activity centre offers plenty of ways to excite and exhaust yourselves.

In 2000, the 400 acre mixed farm became totally organic and Farmer John now rears free range chickens as well as a 180 strong beef suckler herd. You'll see both enjoying their freedom and the lush grass. Visitors can also see a small reindeer herd and South American rheas. The farm's main crop is organic potatoes but Farmer John turns his hand to many things; 60 acres are turned over to Christmas tree plantations, and two vineyards were also planted in recent years. Secret Valley Wine is produced locally in Somerset, with red, white and rosé wines all available for tasting and taking home from our Wine Shop.

Though secluded and delightfully rural, the farm is just three miles from the historic town of Bridgwater and ten miles from the thriving county town of Taunton. Both have junctions onto the M5, making Secret Valley easily accessible from Bristol, Bath and Gloucestershire to the north, as well as all of Devon and Dorset.
