Camping Rural Des Marronniers

Small, quiet, family run CL/CS type campsite with 6 pitches, which is open all year and set in the meadow of an old farm. We welcome tents, caravans and motor-homes and pets as well as long as they are kept on leads around the animals and exercised off site. There is a lane just outside the gates suitable for this purpose.

We are a working small-holding with animals such as cows, goats, ducks and hens with fresh produce as available according to season.

There is a shop, bar and Post Office in village of Pleuville 1 km away
Restaurants, bars and other amenities can be found in Charroux about 8km away.
We are also about 20 mins drive from the lovely medieval town of Confolens situated on the magnificent Vienne river where there are more shops and restaurants and where they hold an annual 'music and dance festival' featuring artistes from all countries of the world.

The area is ideal countryside for walking, cycling, bird-watching or simply relaxing and doing nothing.

Lots to see and do including:-
History-churches/architecture/medieval towns etc.
Horse-riding, water sports including fishing on the many rivers and lakes.
1 hour from Poitiers, Niort, Limoges and Angouleme for serious shopping and about 2 hours from La Rochelle and the coast.
There are also many varied activities such as animal parks, museums ,war memorials and the famous 'Futuroscope' all within easy distance from the site.
