Camping Pap sziget

Szentendre evokes a Mediterranean flavour, is a nice town with old houses, narrow streets and with its medieval atmosphere. There are many museums and galleries here. The Open Air Etnographic Museum shows old houses of different parts of Hungary. The summer festival, the Teatrum offers many good cultural, folklore and music programs for adults and children.

The small Danube island of Pap-Sziget is in fact a marvellous park with many large trees; at a few minutes walk from the town centre. An ideal environment indeed for perfect holidays with family and groups, and for excursions to Budapest, Szentendre, and to the medieval places of Visegrád and Esztergom.

Budapest can be reached by trains departing every 10 min., or by direct buses or by boat. Visiting Danube Bend by boat is a nice adventure.

The Pap-Sziget Camping can be approached from the road crossing Szentendre numbered 11. The island is to the north from the inner city. There is a wooden bridge crossing the Danube right across the entrance of the Camping.
