Solway View Caravan and Camping Site

Solway View is a small caravan & camping touring site. You are welcome to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of this coastal location and the farmland that surrounds you. Please feel free to explore with our Farm & Nature Trails. We are open all year round and welcome - Caravans, Motorhomes, Folding Campers & Tents.

All our pitches are very spacious. We have an electric hook-up point, grass area & hard standing at every Caravan pitch. Some of the Tent pitches have an EHU too. We have provided a picnic bench and campfire pit/BBQ at every pitch.

Along side the CCC site, we also have wooden Wigwam camping pods available for hire. Each wigwam will sleep up to 5 people and are great for individuals, Couples & Families. Our Wigwams are very comfortable, spacious and warm. We have provided foam mattresses, fridge, kettle, toaster and a microwave/gill for your use. Outside each wigwam, there is a picnic bench, campfire pit/BBQ and parking area. Solway View Wigwams offer a fantastic way to enjoy the great outdoors with comfort camping all year round - 'Glamping'

Solway View is an ideal base from which you can discover and enjoy our beautiful countryside, local villages & towns. The Artist town of Kirkcudbright is nearby and always worth a visit. Kirkcudbright can be reached by following a fantastic coastal route, take the bus, car or for the more energetic, go on foot or by bike. Full programme of events in summer months in Kirkcudbright with Scottish nights every Thursday.

Also nearby is Cream O' Galloway, an organic farm making its own fab ice-cream. They also have an outside adventure play area, farm trails, bike trails and an inside playbarn, catering for children of all ages. Lots to do for the adults too, pets are welcome and there is a tea-room with a great selection of meals available.

There are so many things to see & do to help you enjoy this beautiful part of Scotland. Walking, Beaches, Water Sports, Wildlife Watching, Hill walking, Climbing, Gardens, Golf, Sea & Course fishing, Mountain Biking and Road Cycle routes and much much more.
