Puy Rond Camping
Set amongst Oaks & Pines in the heart of the Poitou- Charentes countryside on the edge of the medieval market town of Bressuire lies a retreat for discerning campers. A base from which to explore the region & enjoy the numerous places of interest all within one hours drive.
With only 20 pitches all with electric, we offer a more personal approach than the factory camping of larger sites. Every morning in high season a baker delivers freshly baked baquettes & croissants & for further provisions there are supermarkets within a 5-minute drive.
We also offer chalets for rent that can accommodate up to 6 people. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a fridge / freezer, oven, hob, sink and all necessary crockery & cutlery. The essential corkscrew is of course supplied!
Bedding can be supplied upon request. Satellite T.V has been installed giving English channels & outside you have a covered & decked veranda with table & chairs.
For places to visit we are only 30 minutes from Le Grand Parc du Puy Du Fou, that re-enacts French history from the Gladiators to the musketeers. A must see for all the family.
Also within one hour from us is Futuroscope, which celebrates film and the moving image. 3D cinemas & virtual reality rides. It's big, different & has plenty to engage inquisitive minds.
La Marais Poitevin has one thousand kilometres of tree lined waterways. Beautiful scenery at every turn.
If you are looking to move to France or have a second home here then we can put you in contact with an excellent English speaking Immobilier who can show you anything from a shack to a château. The chalets make an ideal solution for house hunters spending time searching for a house, whether it be for a few days or a few months (special discounts are offered for long stay visitors).
