The village is a 5 min walk from the campsite which has a local family/friendly run pub, it also has a meadery-family restaurant/medieval dining, I can personally recommend the food there.
There is also a village shop were you can get essentials from. About 10 minute drive from the campsite is Asda, there’s also a Simsbury’s about 10 mins from the campsite, in the centre of Falmouth town there is Tescos along with a lot of shops, pubs and cafes.
About a 10 minute walk from our campsite in to the local village Budock Water there is a children’s play park with slides, see saws, climbing frame, a picnic area for families to sit and have a lovely quiet picnic, there is also a big playing field for the family to have a game of football.
The next village over which is Mawnan Smith another lovely quiet village with a friendly family run pub with good quality food which also do take away food as well. There is a lovely little coffee shop opposite the pub where you can have a spot of lunch or just stop for a coffee and cake, next door to the coffee shop there is a woman’s clothing shop, which sells gifts as well as clothes. There is a hair dressing shop there as well, which has been in the heart of the village for many years.
The nearest beaches are about a 10 minute drive from our campsite. There’s quite a few beaches a long the coast of Falmouth they all have a cafe/ice cream parlour on them, the beaches are just stunning dogs are allowed on the beaches from September to April and not during summer months.
There is also Pendennis castle where you can go and visit and learn about the history of the castle and Falmouth if you look out to the bay from the castle it is amazing sea views, next to the castle is an in door swimming bar with a gym and big slides for the children to have hours of fun.
