Ynysfergi Farm Campsite
Ynys Fergi is a working farm, specialising in horse training and sheep rearing.
We are situated 500 metres from the seaside village of Borth.
Borth is a small one street village about 1.5 miles long. It has a spar shop, post office, fishing tackle, gift shops, a surgery and chemist, fish and chip shops.
3 public houses, new village hall, badmington courts, golf course.
Close to the Campsite is Borth Animalarium where you can see both native and exotic birds and animals.
Just behind the Campsite is the tidal river 'Leri'. There is a public footpath that runs alongside the river, which will take you the 2.5 miles to Ynyslas, with it's flat golden beach and National Trust managed sand dunes, which have a wooden walk way over them. You can also drive and park on ynyslas beach.
Ynys-Fergi has two fields for caravans and motorhomes, and one field for tents only.
There is running water on site. A newly built toilet and shower building.
Directions
Borth only has the one main street. If you enter the village from the north end (past the golf course)
Continue through the village taking note of the 'Railway Public House' on the left hand side. 100 metres further on there is a chemist on the left. Turn left into the road alongside the chemist (sign for Animalarium) on the junction.
Proceed over the Railway level crossing and take the first road on the left.
You have arrived at Ynysfergi.
If entering from the south end proceed down the village until you see the chemist on the right side and proceed as above.
If you arrive by train you can either walk up the road following the first directions, or you can take a short cut.
On the platform look inland and you will see the church above.
Walk to the south end of the platform and you will see a small track leading to the Church.
When you get to the Church you will see a lane bearing to the right, follow that lane and it takes you straight to Ynysfergi farm site.
