Bodewran Bach Camping and Caravanning Site
We are open from April 1st to October 31st and charge 12.00 per unit (two adults, pitch, & electric) per night; tents can be negotiated e.g. £5.00 per night per one man tent without hook up! We have toilets, two showers, laundry and facilities, fresh water tap and a waste disposal point all within close proximity. In addition, we have a static caravan which can be hired for £20 per night and are open to bookings of the camping field for organized events.
We are ideally situated to access nearly every part of the island in less than half an hour. Anglesey is blessed with great beaches, bird sanctuaries, fishing, walking and many other tourist attractions. It is only about 20 minutes to Holyhead and the ferry to Dublin can take as little as 90 minutes. The mountains of Snowdonia are about half an hour away and there is plenty to do in the Villages of Betws Y Coed, Llanberis and Beddgelert. The small market town of Llangefni (10 minutes travel) is ideal for food shopping and there are larger shopping centres in Holyhead and Bangor (both approx. 15 mins by car in opposite directions).
The Tafarn-y-Rhos pub (approx. 3miles away) serves reasonably priced well portioned good food and has a quiz on Thursday evenings, There are also many local small towns and villages where you will easily find somewhere to eat and drink and explore. We even have our own small ‘olde worlde’ bar (a converted pig shed) often times with real ale (depending on demand), open from 730 – 11 when busy and can be opened on request at other times!
If you love wildlife and bird watching, don’t forget your binoculars…the campsite looks onto a site of special scientific interest, an old river bed now marshland and as well as other wildlife, pheasants, hares, etc. there are some rare species of birds to be seen!
