Canvas Moon Eco Glamping Retreat

We have two Luxury Bell Tents both measuring 5 metres in diameter, located in secluded surroundings sheltered by pine forest with fantastic views of the mountains. The terraces are landscaped with tropical plants, palms, fruit trees, vines and pathways and is a tranquil and relaxing location.

Our Eco facilities include, Solar Showers and lighting, Zeer pots, compost toilets, BBQ and kitchen area with Kelly Kettles and solar radios and mobile phone chargers.
Canvas Moon is located amongst lush forests of Eucalyptus, Pine and Mimosa trees. The Aguieira Reservoir is located 800 metres away with superb water sports opportunities, river beaches, and walking and cycling tracks.

The area is ideal for swimming, fishing, canoeing, mountain climbing & skiing in the winter. There are some wonderful mountain walks on your doorstep with fantastic scenery and a great chance to see the wildlife, such as families of Pine Martens, Kestrels, Buzzards and many other species.

There are several nearby towns offering excellent local cuisine. The town of Tabua is 5km away with many restaurants and bars including a fabulous Pizzaria, which comes highly recommended. Tabua also has 3 supermarkets, a petrol station and a swimming pool. For those wishing for more nightlife, Santa Comba Dao is only 15 minutes away or a 20 minute drive brings you to Oliveira Do Hospital where there is an abundance of Restaurants, Bars, Night Clubs and a Cinema.

You can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep on a real bed with linen provided. The tents are beautifully decorated, with solar powered lighting, furniture, rugs, cushions and come with a solar/wind up radio and games for relaxing evenings in your tent.
We provide all kitchen essentials you will need for cooking and making a drink, including a bottle and tin opener.

A welcome pack will be provided in each tent for your first nights stay, including, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits. We also provide a detailed guide of the retreat, on how to use our Eco facilities and local information on local walks, places of interest as well as leisure activities such as rock climbing, canoeing and skiing etc.
