Winston Caravan Park

Winston Caravan Park is a small, tree lined, family run site, situated in the centre of Winston Village.

The site is grassy, level, protected by trees and hedges and suitable for caravans and motor homes.

On site there are electric hook-ups and a toilet and shower block with constant hot water.

There is a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, hairdryer and ironing facilities. Calor and Camping Gaz is available.

Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and under control.

There are eleven static caravans on site plus a separate area for touring caravans and motorhomes. Hard standing is available for heavy motor homes.

Some of the statics are available for hire and have two or three bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom with shower and comfortable living area.

All statics are equipped with full size cooker, fridge, gas fire, colour television, microwave, toaster, crockery, pans, etc. Bed linen supplied at no extra cost. Please bring your own towels.

We are on the Darlington to Barnard Castle bus route. There are swimming pools and leisure centres at both these towns as well as in Bishop Auckland and Richmond, tennis courts in the village and horse riding available nearby.

The River Tees is a five minute walk away and is suitable for swimming and canoeing with scenic walks along the riverbanks for a day out and a picnic. There is river and reservoir fishing nearby.

The village has a post office and a pub which serves good value meals. Gainford village is 2 miles and has its own Spa, several shops including a fish and chip shop and a few good pubs. Tyneside's Metro Centre is only 35 miles away. It is ideal for a family day out with cinema complex, fun fair, children's area, shops and free parking.

There is plenty to see and do in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Disabled persons static caravan also available with access ramp and wide doors. Two-bedroom accommodation with a harness hook over bed in main bedroom, bathroom with shower and hipbath, fully equipped kitchen and living area with remote control colour television.
