Town Head Farm
Situated on the edge of Flagg village we are a small 5 pitch certificated site, it is a very flat site with easy access from the road,it is sheltered on the north/east side ,we overlook the beautifull Derbyshire Dales such as Lathkill dale, dovedale and Monsal dale. Flagg is well known for its Point to Point horse races which are held anually on Easter tuesday(not to be missed).
We are also close to Chatsworth House, Home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and where pride and prejudice was recently filmed.
Haddon Hall is also very close by and is where Jane Eyre was filmed.
Just a few miles away is the beautiful spa town of Buxton, famous for its mineral waters and it's architecture.
A similar distance away is the old market town of Bakewell, as we all know famous for it's puddings. Bakewell still holds a weekly stall and cattle market every monday,something for all the family to enjoy.
Bakewell Show is held during the first week in August,this is an agricultural show with many other attractions,a great family day out!
Walkers and Cyclists will love the High Peak and Tissington trails which start just 3 miles from our site and take you as far as Ashbourne or Wirksworth. We are also mid point along the limestone way,ideal for a good walk.
Hartington is only 5 miles away and is an ideal starting place for walkers and cycling. Also well known for producing Stilton cheese, which is available to purchase from the factory shop.
A little further afield is Castleton, famed for its caverns and Blue John stone.
There are plenty of places to eat out in the surrounding local villages, tea rooms and pubs.
