Once a working farm, the rolling green fields surrounding the park offer stunning views over Morecambe Bay, whilst providing a peaceful and tranquil retreat nestled on the doorstep of Arnside & Silverdale, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.


Surrounding Bolton Holmes & Detrongate there is a wide spectrum of scenery to explore, from Historic Ruins to rolling countryside and sandy beaches.

From the park you can walk for miles along the coastline, or the pretty Lancaster Canal, whilst the stunning fells of the lake district are within easy reach.

Bird Watching: The much acclaimed RSPB Leighton Moss Nature Reserve, home to over 255 species of birds located on our doorstep. The elusive Bittern amongst its rarest inhabitants. The park itself is situated next to the extensive salt marshes surrounding Morecambe Bay, home to a wide variety of birds.

Shopping: Nearby is Lancaster with an extensive selection of shops, bars & restaurants, or just 15 miles away is the attractive market town of Kendal Gateway to the Lakes with markets held on a Wednesday or Saturday.

The on-park facilities include; toilet & shower blocks, Launderette, small shop and a newly designed children's play area.

We are able to offer a variety of pitches at Bolton Holmes & Detrongate for Tourer Caravans & Motor homes, many with electric hook-up and some offering outstanding views of Morecambe Bay or the surrounding fells of the Lake District, all pitches have adjacent parking.

Just 5 minutes from junction 35 off the M6 -
Exit the M6 at junction 35 and take the A601 for Carnforth. In 1 mile turn left at the roundabout (J35a) for Carnforth (Truckhavenon the left, Pine Lake on the right). In 1 mile you will come to some traffic lights, continue through towards Lancaster & Morecambe. After a mini roundabout, 500m on the right you will see the sign for Bolton Holmes & Detrongate Holiday Park.
