Local attractions in York include the National Railway Museum, The York Eye, York Dungeons, Yorvick Viking Centre, Castle Museum, York Minster and the famous Bar Walls. York offers many excellent restaurants, cafes and bars both day and night. The Theatre Royal, Grand Opera House and City Screen and Vue cinemas offer evening entertainment as well as many traditional pubs in the local surrounding villages where excellent pub meals are to be found.
Local places of interest to visit such as Castle Howard, North Yorks Moors (Heartbeat Country!) plus many more, information available at our reception.
For the fishermen/women visiting us we have excellent course fishing in a very well stocked large pond which is situated right next to our site, just a short walk into the next field. It is stocked with Carp, Mirror Carp, Bream, Roache and Rudd some of the Carp are very large! Fishing is allowed dawn till dusk at a charge of £5per day. No ground bait or keep nets, barbless hooks only.
For the ladies there are shopping parks at nearby Clifton Moor and Monks Cross, also McArthur Glen Designer Outlet just 20minutes away.
We are a friendly family run site and our staff will be happy to help with any enquiries to help make your stay with us enjoyable.
