Camping les Ripettes
Located 4 km from the market town of Pont de Vaux with its picturesque marina. Easily accessible from the Autoroute du Soleil.
The 2.5 hectare campsite has 54 large pitches (average size 150m2 with some as large as 400 m2). Most pitches are level, some gently sloping and all have ample shade.
The site is always tranquil and relaxing. On site there are 2 swimming pools, table tennis, volley ball, badminton plus a sand pit and play area for smaller children.
Bread is delivered daily and there is a small range of foodstuffs, drinks and wine available on sale in reception.
During high season we organise a weekly barbeque (€7.00 person in 2008 which includes meat, salads, bread, couscous and wine). Boules competions and wine tastings are also arranged.
The area is a paradise for bird watchers, walkers and cyclists. Gourmets will enjoy eating at one of the five excellent, but not expensive, local restaurants four bistros or three pizzerias in Pont de Vaux. Wine buffs can visit the caves and vinyards where the Chardonnay grape is cultivated and sample the finished product.
A little farther afield there is the picturesque town of Tournus and the abbey at Cluny. Louhans has a Monday market and is well worth a visit. For the children there are theme parks in easy driving distance.
Fishing and golf are available locally and river cruises (with dine on board facilities) operate from Pont de Vaux to Macon, Tournus and Louhans.
