Rawene Motor Camp
Rawene Motor camp is located in the picturesque township of Rawene. It is situated in an elevated position overlooking the Hokianga Harbour in Northland, New Zealand.
Rawene is one of New Zealand's most historic settlement towns. Once thriving on Kauri logging, it is now a relaxed village providing for a charming escape, handy to the Giant Kauri Forest, beaches at Opononi and Omapere, the infamous sand dunes and 90 mile beach.
Rawene is 300km north of Auckland on the Twin Coast Highway route 12.
Rawene Motor camp has 8 powered sites, 20 tent sites and 10 tourist cabins.
There is a fully equiped communal kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, dining room, two communal toilet/showers blocks, laundry & linen hire.
There is a camp store stocked with everything you may need, phone, internet and fax facilities.
A fenced pool, Children's play area and BBQ are also for visitors use.
Pets are welcome by arrangement.
Access by the regular crossings of the Hokianga Harbour by the Rawene Car ferry brings you to this little historic township. A top-of-the-town site, in a quiet street, it is sheltered by bush and has sea views.
