South Meadows Caravan Park

South Meadows Caravan Park covers five acres offering 77 generous pitches, many with hard standing and awning patios, each with its own car parking space and 13 amp electricity supply and TV hook ups. The park itself is set in 40 acres of the North Northumberland countryside from which we run our family business.

Our 5 star rating with the English Tourist Council is richly deserved with superb modern amenities including free power showers, laundry room, phone, disabled facilities and a food preparation area, coffee bar and restaurant. If you wish we, can order your newspapers and groceries to be delivered to the site.

The delightful village of Belford is a short walk away with its shops, pubs, and tourist information centre. A nine-hole golf course and driving range are next door to the site and you can take short walks in our own ancient Blue Bell Wood with its streams and local wildlife.

Northumbria is one of the most unspoilt and charming counties in England. The area has plenty of historical and sporting activities. There are six different castles within a 20 mile radius, the Cheviot Hills are an ideal hiking ground and there are three award winning beaches 15 minutes drive away.

The site is the perfect base to explore Holy Island, the Farne Islands, Seahouses and the Scottish Border region in general. The nearby A1 is the main route to the famous market towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed.

There is always something to do for all the family from a lazy day building sand castles on the beach to a fascinating boat trip from Seahouses to see the bird and seal colonies of the Farnes. You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome in the beautiful surroundings of our site.

The beautiful rural setting of South Meadows means you are never very far from North Northumberland's most popular tourist sites. The whole area is dotted with historic castles, remote hills and heritage coastline.

Our new amenity blockhouses free power showers, immaculate toilets, food preparation area, laundry room, and chemical waste disposal all with full disabled access. Everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. All of the above are regularly maintained to a high standard with our 'dedicated on site' staff.

Spacious well-planned grass pitches allow plenty of room for your caravan or camper, car and awning. Each has its own electrical hook up with safety night-light. Rubbish bins and running water are also close at hand for your convenience.

Our local village of Belford is just a short drive or walk away. Provisions can be purchased from the supermarkets or can be ordered for delivery to the site. The village is also close enough to enjoy a pint or two in the local pubs without having to worry about that drive back!

The secluded location of the site is ideal for children to play and explore in safety. How many other caravan sites can boast of having their own 'Bluebell Woods'

Belford is situated 54 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and 70 miles south of Edinburgh.
